Restaurant Parts Direct, a DBA of Midwest Appliance Parts Co., Inc., is committed to providing quality products and ensuring clarity in our shipping and return policies. Please carefully review the following guidelines before initiating a return or warranty claim.
Return Authorization Request
Important: Please read this entire policy before sending any part back for return or exchange.
Returns
All returns require a completed Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) form, available for download on our website.
Return Guidelines
- Inspection: All returns are inspected by a technician. If the part has been installed, a refund will not be issued. For defective installed parts, please refer to our warranty policy below.
- Timeframe: Returns must be initiated within 30 days of receiving the product. For returns beyond this period, contact our team to determine if accommodation is possible.
- Restocking Fee: All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee plus any shipping and handling charges incurred during the original shipment.
- Shipping Responsibility: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. Upgraded shipping and handling surcharges are non-refundable.

Original Packaging: All returned items must include the original packaging and paperwork.
- Items in boxes must be returned in the original box.
- Items in bags must be returned in the same sealed, unopened bag.
- Do not alter the factory box or packaging, and leave all factory stickers intact.
Exchanges
We currently do not offer exchanges. If an incorrect item was ordered, download the RMA form from our website and return the item in its original factory packaging with additional packing materials to avoid damage during transit.
Warranty
Warranty claims do not typically require the defective part to be returned. Call us with your order number to confirm whether the part needs to be sent back.

- Appliance Type
- Appliance Manufacturer
- Appliance Model #
- Appliance Serial #
Special Warranty Instructions
- Samsung Parts: Defective Samsung parts must be sent back for warranty approval. Customers are responsible for shipping costs in both directions.

Warranty Periods: Warranty periods vary by brand and manufacturer. Contact us with specific warranty questions. Most parts are guaranteed against manufacturer defects for one year from the purchase date.
- Exclusions: Unnatural wear and tear, physical damage, and consumables such as filters, fuses, and igniters are not covered.
Damaged Packages
If your part was damaged during transit, contact our Shipping Department within 7 days of receiving the product at 773-278-1300.
How to Return a Part
- Download the RMA Form for Returns from our website.
- Print and fill out the form completely.
- Send the factory-sealed part along with the completed RMA form to the address below.
